The widow of the late Robin Williams and his three children have reached a settlement over his estate according to numerous sources.
A public dispute had raged after William’s death last year with a debate over some of his heirlooms and his estate. While the out of court settlement has not been discussed, it is believed that both parties have now come to an agreement.
Settlement Reached
Much of the debate was over sentimental heirlooms that were shared between Susan Schneider and her late husband. It is understood that some items, such as the Academy Award won by Williams was not in dispute, but rather the house he shared with Susan and other items. It is believed that Schneider will receive a watch Robin Williams often wore, a bike bought on their honeymoon, and their wedding gifts. A judge had encouraged a settlement outside of court due to the high-profile nature of Robin Williams.
The vast majority of objects have been left to the children of the late actor who ensured that a trust was set up for his children. However Susan Williams filed a court petition in December, saying the contents of the home she shared with Robin Williams should be excluded from the items the actor left to his children. This was seen by the children of Williams as a way to exclude items that their father meant for them, however, an agreement has now been reached.
